Here’s the deal..most people think they are pretty much in control of their lives and therefore don’t need to worry about the thing called “Time management”. In fact, most people think time management is only for busy executives..you know..only for complex higher up things. Well, that is absolutely incorrect.

It’s true that your time management systems will get more complex as you go but everybody..(Yes, you, me and everybody) needs to look into their time management.

Yeah I know …you may have neighbours who are doing fine but doesn’t carry an agenda around or the girl that gets the top grades doesn’t seem to care about time management.. And that probably makes you think time management isn’t all that necessary afterall.

Well, let me tell you a secret..

3 years ago when I was really getting down on myself for not getting a good internship, I couldn’t figure out how someone could get it. It drove me nuts! I literally sat down for days (an emotional wreck) trying to figure out what was going on. She somehow managed to get an intership, has pretty ok grades too but HOW?…

Then I realized something..

To make a long story short…here’s what she had..

She had an internship that payed really well. She had decent grades..

But she was also missing out on a lot of things that were incredibly valuable to me. For example, I had friends I could call at any time who were always there to comfort me and/or encourage me. She didn’t have the time for them. Can you imagine not having time for the people who mean the most to you?

Here’s the thing about your time..

It’s limited. That’s right every minute you spend with your friends is getting subtracted from the time you can spend on your business, studying or on the job (getting paid for it). Every minute you play with your kids, you are losing money..

And what happens when you decide something needs to be improved? If it’s your relationship with your kids..be prepared to take in a smaller pay check..If it’s your pay check, be prepared to lose your family time..

That’s the reality of “time” as we know it.

The fun part is understanding the nature of time. Time is a resource and like every other resource it can be manipulated. Just like how we can get oil from sand… You can actually create simple as well as complex systems from your resource called time to have an excellent income, an amazing family, an incredible body, perfect health all at the same time..

And here’s the question for you…do you want either one or more things from this list? If you do, then you need to understand how time works and how to make the best of it..
