The Weekend is fast approaching and I know how stressful that can be!
I remember I used to absolutely hate long weekends because they only meant I had so much more to catch up with even when I was supposed to be relaxing and getting recharged. I used to absolutely dread that. You know, you walk home and then you realize “Oh NO! My family is going to expect me to pay attention to themĀ and I have no excuse what so ever to not give my very best to them..”
I remember very well how the weekends brought up my stress levels as I sat there looking at my unachieved goals. Thankfully, that doesn’t happen anymore. And, I want to tell you exactly how I got from there to where I am now. Where I absolutely love my weekends and can’t wait to drive away with my family for the long weekend.
It is not hard to get to the point where you start loving your weekends and actually start spending the weekends relaxing and recharging. But, it does take some work.
The good news is you can get started on that right now.
The first and very hard way to go about would be to work very hard during the weekdays and spend the weekend relaxing.
I don’t personally like that approach though. I think it’s a recipe for total burn down.
The best way for you to keep your stress low and still make the best out of your weekends is to plan the weekends properly. When you plan your work, make sure you’re also planning family time.
Get your family together and plan it out together. Involve every family member and plan something fun.
Once you have that plan, you have another goal that must be achieved and that will make it much easier for you to section off and manage time during the week so you can meet your weekend goal.
Again, during the week, You need to be very smart about where you’re spending your time. Set achievable goals, be completely honest to yourself and let the pleasure of the relaxation time drive you to give in your best.
Have a great Long weekend!
