When it comes to productivity has anyone else noticed there are so many “hacks” and “tips” and really cool things you can do to boost your productivity?
Yeah, that’s cool….
But again, if you know me, you know I really like stuff that can be applied right now. So, with all the productivity hacks out there I thought we’d get down where the rubber hits the road and give you a couple things to do to boost your productivity right now.
This will be a series and this post is part I.
1. Use a Task Management System
Are you using paper and pen to collect your tasks? Or are you using an online system?
Or maybe you’re not using anything at all?
One of the best ways I know how to boost productivity is to write down all the tasks that I’d like to do.
I use paper and pen for that purpose.
The next step then is to use something to schedule all the tasks that I need to do.
Writing tasks down helps reduce stress but we also need to make sure the tasks get done to maximize productivity.
For this part, I use an online system because it’s just more productive than paper and pen.
Let’s face it, updating your to-do list via your phone is much easier than carrying around a list, a calendar, an agenda, an eraser and so many other things.
With an online system, it’s quick and easy to add, delete, edit tasks and this alone saves tons of time especially when you constantly have stuff being thrown at you.
So…
- Online systems cannot beat efficiency in collecting tasks in your head.
- But paper and pen aren’t that effective when it comes to scheduling these tasks once you’ve written them down.
Use a digital system for that purpose!
Going digital will really save you tons of time and boost your productivity!
